Unforgettable
Wow where to start... Today has been unforgettable. So it all started when I woke up late and caused my dad a bit of frustration. By being late we were in a bit of a rush to get to our hiking destination. So we hustled to drive the 40 miles to the town that the hike was supposed to be at. When we arrived we immediately started looking for the tourist information booth. We asked about four different people were it was and they all told us different things. So after meandering around the narrow streets I just said screw it in gonna go look on foot. And no longer than 30 sec later I found it. I got us a map of the different hikes and headed back to the car. After deciding that we wanted to go to the next town over we headed there. And when we got there we realised that it was actually the town on the opposite side of the mountain range we where looking at! Aghh we said and just decided to take the cable car up to the trail head and just go on a hike. So we got to the tram station and ordered 2 full (up and down) passes. The till said $128.00 our jaws dropped and my dad just said whatever let's just pay it. I on the other hand was not having it for a second. We then looked down and saw that she had printed off 8 passes. We then figured out that she dident know English and thought we said 8. So when the total displayed was $32.00 we were much more content. So we headed up and got onto hiking. We tredged up a mountain for about an hour when we came to a crossroads. We took a water break and were approached by two elderly folks. We exchanged greeting and got to talking. We figured out that there was a restaurant about 20 min ahead so we decided to go on up to it. We did so and were soon greeted by the same couple. We had drinks for about 30 min when they said that we could stay overnight at this place and we immediately accepted there offer. So for them giving us thin information my dad bought them there drinks. They were very grateful. So greatfull in face that they bought us two Swiss coffees haha. So that was great. We then parted ways and we headed up to do s little more hiking. We headed up for about 20 min and reached the highest point on the mountain we were on. My dad went about half a mile down the trail and we both took a good half an hour to think and reflect on life and the trip. We reconvened after and headed back to the camp. We waited outside for a while before a massive thunder lightning and hail storm blew in. We then waited inside. We then joined up with 2 great German woman and there kids and played a couple of hands of uno! That was great. We then were greeted with some swish culinary delights and spoke with 2 swish bikers for a while we eventually went to bed having had a fantastic day!
