On the road again
Up, no rain
Shower, coffee
Liam makes me organize the "airstream" again!
No drinkable water at this campground, no dish cleaning station, no washer/dryer.
So we leave organized, with a bag of dirty dishes, a bag of empty water bottles, a bag of dirty laundry...
Life doesn't get much bettah
The ole GPS takes on a roundabout way right thru the heart of the city, oh well it's Sunday morning....
We're finally on the road, highway again
Its fairly flat in this part of northern germany, and all the way due east across poland to Warsaw.
A lot of the trees are just alike, we drive for many many kilometers through these tree farms..
The roads are great and new
And we pay tolls, about 5 to reach warsaw,
Now I forget to mention earlier the french were really good at collecting tolls too! The Swiss and Germans not so much, the Italians are catching on.
At one toll booth I pointed to the word " zlotych" on the bill, the toll collector, (usually it's a machine) rattled off a bunch of polish , I thought she might hand me a kielbasa sandwich, but she gave me a map, oh well...
In my way I was trying to learn how to say zloty
On we go coffee, gas and yes McDonald's has a big presence in Europe, unfortunately so doesn't the colonel, the whopper ( the big wowo in italy) and slugway.
Now MacDonald you order at a computer kiosk, and the have these neat butt leaning cushions to rest against while you wait for your "Mac everything"
The roads are pretty free of tractor trailer trucks, most of the highway driving has been a constant line of trucks in the right lane.
And when you pass on the left you do it quickly and get right back in the right lane. No travelli ng in the left, unless your moving very fassssssttttttt.
Liam and the ancient GPS/ Google maps brings us really close to this inner city campground, but alas. Let's make it interesting like always and construction has closed the road..... ( they knew we were coming...)
So we get to drive and drive and we eventually find it, grass, trees, rv's and a couple tents.
Showers, dishwzshing, toilets, washing machine (12 zloty)no dryer, so the boys from oreegone hang up their undies on a clothes line in their camp, have a nice dinner of good ole hot dogs, chantrelles, ( yes we bought them in germany fresh for $3 euros!) Sauerkraut and dukes, yum! A cold beer and just chillin!
In arrives about 15 german and Russian guys and cars from A car club of old Russian lada's4×4's,
Liam wanders off to Snapchat and Instagram his homies, and I just chill after another day of making the wheels spin.
G nite all
