Awaken by cowbells...

Yup 5:45 the farmer across the road was moving his cows, they weren't real loud,  but I had been sleeping for a bit.
Nuthin bettah than instant coffee...

We decide to head up the hill to a dam small lmountain lake and 150 ' footbridge, this was gorgeous, and some cows on the hill, their bellsringing away .
We hike 2 kilometres walk across the bridge and return.
Now it's an hour down the skinniest roads, and I mean eye closing skinny.
We head down this tourist area that was of constant beautiful huge "alpine style homes".
Head back to Albertville
Why?
Well the van front tires didn't look good when I checked the air pressure at Omaha beach, the passenger tire was bald on the outer edge. I wish I had checked them at our friends in the Netherlands...
I stopped Saturday on our marathon drive across France at a tire store and they didn't have our size, and they called 5 stores looking for the size....hmmm not good
Also the blower fan started only working intermittently a few da ys ago, now for 2 days it wouldn't come on.
Also the key has been getting stuck in the ignition, for up to 4 minutes at a time,, uhhg%g!
So we find the office de tourismo,  and the receptionist only speaks a little little english....oh well I'm getting good at sign language
We manage to get directions to a tire store and the fiat dealer, yes the van is a fiat!
Well 2 kilometers and 20 minutes later we find the tire store, yes they have the size, but they can't put 2 tires on til next Monday!!!!
Well around the corner is speedy service, tires and repairs
We pull in , nice guy, doesn't know a lick of English, neither does his guy....
We finally get it understood through elaborate gestures around the car that we want 2 New tires on the front, and the spare, which had old age rot. Replaced with the best tire off the front.
Liam is rapidly downloading Google translator....

10 minutes
" nope"
But after the fronts are balanced and mounted, the guy tries to explain to me that he had a new car tire same size....
By the way he never stopped speaking in french to me....i was waiting for him to get louder, that way I might understand....
Finally I got it
Then I said how many euros?
He waved me off " no"
I then asked again
No charge
Wow I was happy
Then I asked about the key, he sprayed lube on it, tried it no betray, key stuck....FIAT dealer.....
Then the blower, fuses checked  wires checked, connectors checked.....nothin
Then he reached up into the fan motor area and zap
He removed the fan motor, leaves in dust galore, the air hose,  more lube and Walla
Working fine
$280 euro's later were off to the Fiat dealer....
Well they want to diagnose the problem, oh yeah it took 20 minutes of interpretation etc to get to this point....
I finally convince them to check it out before we order parts....the mechanic can't find the problem....i say what?
I jump in and the key works fine.....
Well I guess a little lube did the trick!
Now we're off to chiminox ski town resort of mount blanc
30 minutes out of town we stop, realize we've misplaced the debit card in all this mess....
We eat tuna sandwiches , take a dip in the stream next to the rest area, and search the van....no card,  but cooled off
Oh yeah it's been 80÷ here the last 3 days
Back on the road, we stop in a ski resort town beautiful views, huge chalets, nice campground in downtown, $13 euro's off season
I call the card company and have a hold put in the card,  great that's why I brought back up cards....
Liam goes for a jog, i drink a cold beer

Leftover pasta
Salad
The perpetual charging of devices is always happening, the GPS, the cell phones, the battery back ups, the BOSE speaker, the euro cooler, maybe I should charge me brain too!

The sun goes down and tomorrow's another day.......
